About UsThe
Saints are the football team that represents Meadowridge Baptist
Church. We play in the Southern Suburbs Church League. The Saints have
been around for many years and we strive for a high quality of football.
We welcome anyone to join us at practice and if you manage to impress
our qualified coaches, then you may find yourself in the matches which
happen every 2nd Saturday. See below for details.
PracticesAll are welcome to our practices. We have a social game on Mondays and an official training session on Thursdays.
On Mondays we meet at 5pm – 6:30/7pm, depending on light @ Bergvliet High School.
On Thursdays we also meet at 5:00pm – 6:30/7pm @ Bergvliet High School
and this is for the official SAINTS players and is taken by our
qualified coaches from Ambassadors in Sport. We look forward to you
joining us.
MatchesMatches
are usually played within the framework of the Southern Suburbs Church
League and are thus every second Saturday. All these games take place at
the Chukker Road Fields. See below for a map. Use the 2nd turn into the fields. We normally play at either 11am or 12:30pm.
We
are looking to use our free weeks as a soccer outreach opportunity for
the SAINTS where we will meet and play against teams from different
communities, building relationships and sharing Christ.
So keep one eye on proceedings, your support is always valued and appreciated.
SupportersThe
Saints love your support. So if you want to come down to support your
special player, or because you love watching football, or because there
are eight churches all gathered together at the same time with plenty of
eligible bachelors/bachelorettes; and furthermore we may acquire your
services in meeting our communities needs through catering or
evangelism. So thanks again we really do look forward to seeing you, it
is support that can often be a teams influential factor!
